This is EDY, a little podenco cream colour of about 1 year, he was found in the mountain and the Spanish volunteers never could catch his mother. He went in several shelters and now he is in a good shelter BUT A SHELTER IS NOT A FAMILY !!!
No problem with cats and children and adults, but better for you and him not to let him with a male dog, he is always trying to dominate them, so better not to try that.
But with female, he is very ok.
THIS EDY IS OK TO LIVE IN YOUR GARDEN, NOT IN YOUR HOUSE, HE PREFERS TO SLEEP IN A LITTLE HOUSE JUST FOR HIM, HE WAS BORN IN THE MOUNTAIN AND MAYBE NEVER COULD ACCEPT TO BE PUT IN JAIL LIKE A PRISONER.
He is vaccuned, and can reach your family whenever you want.

My name is GIL, I am about 2 years and a half, black and white AND I LOVE LIFE !!!
I just jump, run, ask for caresses from everybody in the shelter. All the dogs are my friends, but we cannot often run because our place is very small, and I am a hound : just imagine how I feel.
I am not very big, I weight about 22 kgs of muscles, I have an old bone injury on one leg but it does not bother me when I am allowed to run.
The place I am is oftern visited by night by bad people and sometimes they steal us ...
So help me to go out of this hell on earth.
I AM LOVER, I WANT TO HAVE FUN !!!!

Hello, I am SIRA, a young mixed hound from SPAIN, I suffered a lot but French people take care of me now. I am at the shelter with CISCO and BILL the IBIZAN HOUNDS you can also see on this blog.
I am 64 cm high, very clean in the house, very sweet and quiet. I love to play with other dogs male or female and I LOVE KIDS ... If you have cats, better not to adopt me because I chase them and no one can be sure I won't kill them BUT you do not have cats, don't you ?
I need an opportunity please, I am young and I do not want to stay int he shelter without a family to play and to love.
I swear to be nice and quiet if you adopt me. I NEED A HOME VERY SOON.

Hello, my name is CISCO which is the nickname for FRANCISCO in SPAIN my natal country.
I am in FRANCE in a shelter waiting for you !!! I am 7 years old, I am quite big because I am an Ibizan hound (called podenco ibicenco in Spanish) from the well known island : IBIZA.
There, humans love to have fun but for the IBIZAN HOUNDS like me, it is just a life of misery and starvation ...
PASSION LEVRIERS saved 10 of us in june 2007, and they take care of us now in FRANCE. Some of us had been already adopted but I am still waiting.
I can live without any problems with others dogs and even cats (just let me know when they are yours). I am friendly with all humans, for the children : I prefer teenagers because I want to be in peace and no one to bother me. I love to stay in the garden where I will accept to live in a private home just for me !!!
Better if you have other dog, so I will be able to play and go everywhere with it.
I am in the area of BORDEAUX WAITING ...
In my country, I was a leader so that is the reason why I am very independent; but do not turn your back on me.
If you have a garden and if you give me food and some friendship I will be the happiest IBIZAN in this world.
I am neutered, vaccunated for everything, my blood tests are perfect.
I AM JUST WAITING FOR YOU.
